Some specifics about Seaside Cottage:The Cottage is supplied with a large refrigerator, a microwave oven, and a number of small electrical appliances like coffee maker, toaster etc.The stove is a four burner gas stove with oven which is supplied with bottled propane gas from two large (100 pounds) cylinders which are housed in the garage. Both cylinders are operational. Once cylinder is in use and the back up cylinder will always be full.Household Services:The cottage will be clean when you arrive, and we will provide a weekly cleaning if you are at the cottage for more than one week. We have developed a register of persons who have indicated their willingness to do additional cleaning, laundry, cooking (especially Bahamian dishes) baby-sitting and other services. Check with Sherry Minnis for details on these. Most important, let us know whether you are satisfied with them and whether you require other services, so that we can develop and expand our register to serve you better.Garbage is collected two times a week on Monday and Saturday. You should leave garbage by the side of the road in the bin provided.The village of Current in Eleuthera is the nearest settlement. There you can buy basic groceries and household supplies at Durham’s which is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm. Wesley’s in Lower Bogue, the next settlement carries a similar stock and is open Monday to Saturday from 7am to 9pm as well as on Sundays. Liquor supplies can be bought from Albury’s Liquor Store also in Lower Bogue. If you wish, you can bring grocery supplies with you, except for fresh fruit and vegetables which will not be allowed.The nearest “urban centre” with banks, a supermarket, a hardware shop, pastry shops, etc is Spanish Wells. The Ferry to Spanish Wells cost $5 per person. Harbour Islands, or Briland as it is called by locals, is the next nearest “urban centre”.
