Set on a quiet street just 250m from the Diocleceans Palace it is surrounded by 1700 years of history. The apartment has a modern open plan kitchen, dining and living area, two double bedrooms and shower room . It is located on the ground floor. Split is an ideal location for exploring the Diocleans Palace, its ancient alleyways and squares, now home to up-market shops and cafes and bars. Alternatively use this home as a base for exploring the islands of Brac and Hvar and the World Heritage town of Trogir just 20km away. The apartment is 5 mins walk from the wooded Marjan hill, a great place to walk and cycle and get great views over the old city. And 2km from the large sandy Bacvica beach with seafront cafés and restaurants right by.
Split offers something for everyone, including history buffs, fashionistas and foodies. While it is best known for the Diocletian's Palace, the impressive Medieval walled city built around the 1700 yr old ruins of the Ceasars palace, the city also offers excellent galleries, shops, restaurants and cafes. An ideal day can be spent getting lost in the maze of cobbled alleyways before settling into an evening of excellent outdoor night life.
Don't miss the seafood market, located on Marmontova. Even if you do not have access to a kitchen, the busy feel of locals hustling to purchase the freshest fish is entrancing. But be sure to wake up early as the market closes at 11:00am. The fruit and vegetable market is an equally colourful experience. A holiday in Split makes for an ideal home base for exploring the islands of Brac, Hvar and Korcula. Northern Dalmatia is also within easy reach by car or bus. Split lies approximately 4 hours from both Dubrovnik and Zagreb.
