The Lighthouse Art Gallery opened in May 2010. It came about because the owners, Sue and Mac, were driving past and noticed a for sale sign being attached to the building. Sue had often talked about opening an art gallery. She wanted to have somewhere to display her pictures and she likes beautiful things. They had both often commented on the building as they passed, and saw the for sale sign as a golden opportunity to explore further. Once through the door of course they fell in love and within a very short time, were living upstairs . Although displaying art is the main focus, the Gallery is a business evolving, and changes shape and direction as it goes along.
