Although we prefer a 2 night minimum stay we are open to catering for your individual holiday needs so that your special time away is a memorable one. An all year round destination with winter skiing and snowmobiling and summer hiking, biking, 4 wheel driving, horse trekking ,hunting ,fishing, golfing, wine and farm tours and only half an hour from Queenstown International airport and 15mins from Wanaka.The house is located across the road from the historic and iconic CardronaHotel who are well known for their outside fireside bar and fine dining. Opposite the house is also Benbrae which has a wine and gourmet pizza bar, a small store and an off-licence.Come and relax in the spa pool with a glass of local pinot, or read a magazine and have a snooze while reclining on the lazyboy chairs while listening to the sound of running water from the Cardrona River. For those who like to stay active we invite you to work out in our fully equipped gym, or take a riverside stroll under the star studded alpine sky or out in the warm southern sun.

Offering 3 unique luxurious lodges hidden away from each other on 80 acres of rainforest at Mt Warning in Northern Rivers, NSW. All lodges have outdoor spas, fireplaces & a/c. Totol romance in peace & seclusion. Perfect for weddings, honeymoons, commitment ceremonies, anniversaries & proposals, or just a weekend escape for two. Nestled in the rainforest are our 3 totally unique & secluded lodges, each completely hidden from the others by hills & forest, each a beautiful, themed creation tucked in the forest. Our luxurious lodges are individually themed - one a 12-Sided Timber Yurt (Air); one a 300 yr old Balinese Temple (Water); & one a Luxurious Lodge Built in the Hill (Earth). Water Lodge: Overlooking a tranquil lake fringed with waterlillies, our gorgeous Water lodge is distinctly Asian in flavour, featuring two intricately hand carved teak joglos, or canopies, which were rescued from an ancient Indonesian palace. Heavy wooden carved doors mark the passage from the kitchen/lounge out into the breezeway with another set leading into the bedroom & bathroom. A spectacular king sized bed is suspended from the joglo on thick chains with views straight out across the lake (the bed is secured to the floor to minimise movement). The Asian theme is continued with an elaborate chandelier & hand painted Asian wallpaper in the bathroom. Air Lodge: This gorgeous 12 sided ‘yurt style’ lodge with its self supporting roof has been crafted from 8 different native timbers including the kitchen, which is made from camphor laurel, delivering a wonderful smell each time you enter the lodge. In the bedroom, the timber bed has been cleverly designed to suit the curving walls - kingsize at the head, tapering to a foot-warming double at the base; while the bathroom features his & hers basins and, for that matter, his & hers showers (not forgetting the outside hot and cold shower in the trees, for the more adventurous). Earth Lodge: Carved from rock and stone, Earth is a mystical and wonderfully romantic lodge, with glass walls offering magnificent views to the peak of Mt Warning and the rainforest. The furniture is hand crafted from timber burls, and there are many carvings around the lodge to intrigue & delight. The outside spa is in the back courtyard next to a hot outside shower, and is totally surrounded by rainforest. Your basket with hot bread is lowered down to you on a hook each morning. Light & airy with many small carvings & attention to detail, adding to an unforgettable experience.

It carries a 2 NIGHT MINIMUM on stays (whereas the other bedrooms can be booked on a daily basis).This bedroom also has its own dishwasher and two fridges, and it particularly suits guests wanting a more exclusive non-intrusive experience, without interaction with other guests. Breakfast provisions are provided for the first night only to allow longer staying guests time to shop for supplies.
