La Grange has recently been renovated into a three bedroom, three bathroom property. The same high standards maintained in Jasmine Cottage have been replicated in La Grange. The front of La Grange overlooks the garden and pool. The outside of the building has been lime rendered in the traditional Vendeen style known as Pierre Apparent or Pierre Vu . This effectively means that the stones of the building are visible through the render finish. La Grange was built approximately 200 years ago in the local traditional style using locally quarried limestone and clay tiles. The renovation has captured the character of the building, retaining features such as exposed beams and stone walls, these are complimented with a contemporary interior. The contrast between the wooden cladding and the limestone make this a very attractive feature of the building. It benefits from catching the early morning sun through to early afternoon. A peaceful and tranquill area to spend some time in. The private south facing patio, 4.50m x 4.0m, is the perfect location for breakfast, lunch and dinner as it enjoys all day sun. Planted with shrubs there can be no better place to sit, relax and enjoy a cool glass of wine in the company of friends and family. The large open planned ground floor includes a modern kitchen which comes fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, separate fridge, freezer and microwave. The kitchen gives direct access to the patio. A feature of the kitchen is the old bread oven that had once operated here. The living area is in the center of the ground floor and comes with two large sofas, two easy chairs along with Satellite Television (free view channels), DVD player, hi-fi, cd player, books and games for all the family. The dining area looks onto the rear terrace and can comfortably seat up to eight people. Upstairs in La Grange are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Bedroom 1, (shown here 2.80 x 3.80m) is a kingsize room with ensuite showeroom with views over the garden and pool. The ensuite has a walk in shower, sink with vanity unit under and WC. Bedroom 2 (2.80 x 2.80m) is a twin bed room also overlooking the garden and pool. Facing west this room along with bedroom 1 enjoys the evening sun, allowing guests to fully appreciate the spectacular sunsets we enjoy. Bedroom 3 (3.70 x 2.80m) can be used as a super kingsize or as a twin bed room. Some of the stonework has been left exposed and it overlooks the south facing patio area. All three bedrooms have radiators and individual reading lights.
