The Embarcadero is just a few blocks west and is a seaside promenade where you can take a nice stroll, tour an aircraft carrier (the USS Midway), or take a short ferry ride to Coronado Island (Coronado has a beautiful public golf course with views and is home to Coronado Beach - frequently rated as the #1 beach in the United States). SeaWorld and scenic La Jolla are just a 15 minute drive from the condo; beautiful Balboa Park, which houses many museums, and Old Town San Diego, with it's many historical buildings, shops, and excellent Mexican cuisine (even a registered haunted house - spooky!) are both only a 5 minute drive. LEGOLAND is 30 minutes north in beautiful Carlsbad. If you are up for a day trip, head up the coast a couple hours to Disneyland or Knott’s Berry Farm in Orange County, or take the ferry out to beautiful Catalina Island. Drive inland an hour to explore the wineries of Temecula, or 2 1/2 hours east and you will find yourself in Palm Springs! There is so much to do in San Diego and Southern California - the possibilities are endless.
